The Queensland Police Service’s First Nations Division provides specialist capabilities to the Service.
We are dedicated to building cultural safety, capability, trust, transparency and strengthening relationships between the Queensland Police Service, and First Nations communities across Queensland.
We are working collaboratively with our First Nations communities to share information and develop initiatives that prevent harm. Together we are working to create a safer Queensland for everyone.

Queensland Police Service Reframing the Relationship Plan 2024 – 2027
We are committed to reframing our relationship with Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Launched on 27 May 2024, the Queensland Police Service - Reframing the Relationship Plan 2024-2027 demonstrates our commitment to improving policing services, outcomes and relationships with First Nations people and the communities of Queensland.
- The Reframing the Relationship Plan outlines the eight key principles that will guide our journey towards an improved and culturally safe service, built on partnerships and meaningful relationships with Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
