Detailed Traffic Management Plans (TMP) are required for all loads exceeding 8m wide, 5.4m high and/or 45m long, but may also be requested on a case-by-case basis for other moves.
Houses require additional information to be supplied with a TMP, outlined below.
TMPs
The purpose of a TMP is to identify hazards and risks associated with the movement of an over-size load focusing on the specific route and circumstances of an individual movement.
TMPs need to be completed separately for each movement as they will be unique.
Each move that requires a TMP will need this in-depth assessment to be carried out to identify specific risks with the move.

Additional QPS approval requirements for houses
All houses that require a TMP also require the following;
- A letter from an engineer or master builder explaining why the building cannot be cut down to reduce the dimensions.
- Photos of the front, rear, and side of the house, to illustrate the comments made in the letter.
