Criminal history (Queensland only)

Requests for Queensland criminal history (Copy of Own) are most often sought for court-related purposes. If you require an Australia-wide criminal history check for employment, providing insurance companies with an official document relating to past offending or visa purposes, please refer to the National Police Certificate (NPC) section.

An application for a Queensland criminal history (Copy of Own) must be made by the individual concerned. The criminal history is released only to the individual concerned, or to their legal representative with the consent of the individual concerned. The criminal history supplied will be from the Queensland Police Service records only. It does not contain convictions imposed outside of Queensland. A criminal history contains convictions for criminal offences arising from prosecution action initiated by QPS officers.

Persons who seek their Queensland criminal history (Copy of Own) must:

• Complete application for a copy of own QLD Criminal History (PDF)
• Email completed application for a copy of own QLD Criminal History and receipt of payment from QPS Legal BPOINT payment, to PIC.CoreBusiness@police.qld.gov.au

International residents requiring their own Queensland criminal history can obtain the relevant application form by contacting the Police Information Centre, preferably by email. Further details will be provided by email reply.
