Officer requirements

The QPS provide road manager consent – that stipulates the number of police/escort vehicles and any conditions imposed by QPS – to NHVR during the permit assessment.

A summary of the police/escort requirements listed in the Pilot and escort operations document from TMR.

This is to be used as a guideline only. Every permit application is assessed on a case-by-case basis and the police/escort requirements may change as determined by the QPS.

The police/escort requirements, along with any additional conditions, will be listed on the issued permit under the heading "Specific conditions of travel".

Note: the guidelines are only a minimum. The requirement for police and escort vehicles is determined by the QPS as necessary.
