Working the watchhouse you will supervise and monitor people in custody and visitors. You will operate and monitor electronic surveillance, processes people into custody and maintain records. You will be a key player in maintaining the security and welfare of people in custody.

This is a 24 hr, 7-day rostered position and attracts entry level pay of $65,403, generous Super, 6 weeks annual leave and targeted training.

As a critical role within QPS it is important that we select great candidates. There are a number of stages in the recruitment process including some assessments and an interview: the full process is outlined in the Applicant Guide. This process can take around 12 weeks and then successful candidates will be invited to a fully paid 5 week course at the QPS Academy Oxley where you will trained in all the skills you will need in the role
