If you have accessed documents held by the Queensland Police Service (QPS) and found that your personal information is inaccurate, incomplete, out-of-date or misleading, you can apply to have it amended.
Applying for an amendment
To update your information, you will need to submit a completed application form.
The Information Privacy Personal Information Amendment Application Form
You will also need to:
- Provide your address so we can let you know whether your information has been updated
- Give details of the information you believe to be inaccurate, incomplete, out-of-date or misleading
- Specify the amendments you’d like made.

What if I don’t agree with the QPS decision?
If we decide not to make the amendment or update you requested, you can apply to QPS for an internal review of its decision, or ask the Information Commissioner for an external review of the decision.
To apply for an internal review of a decision you must apply in writing within 20 business days of receiving the decision. Applications for internal review should be addressed to:

Your internal review application will then be referred to a senior officer for decision.
