The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is working together with government agencies, non-government organisations, and communities to prevent, disrupt, investigate and respond to domestic and family violence (DFV) in Queensland.
DFV specialists, known as District Domestic and Family Violence Co-ordinators, are located in each police district. They deliver education and training to operational police and work with other government agencies and non-government organisations to address DFV. District Domestic and Family Violence Co-ordinators also develop strategies to address DFV and provide advice and support to the community.
Whether you are a victim survivor of DFV, you suspect someone you know is a victim survivor or perpetrator, or you are a professional working in the field of DFV, there is a wide range of resources and information available to help. We’ve provided links to some of these resources, below.

Videos on domestic violence court process
These videos, produced by Queensland Courts, explain the process for applying for or responding to an application for a domestic violence order. Domestic violence orders are part of a strategy to protect the safety of persons impacted by DFV, including children, associates and family members, and to stop DFV. These videos are available in Auslan, Arabic, Mandarin, Persian/Farsi, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese.
