All Queensland Police Service crime statistics are derived from the data contained in official crime reports. Since June 2007, official crime reports have been recorded in the Queensland Police Records and Information Management Exchange (QPRIME).

An extract of QPRIME is uploaded to this website on a daily basis and will be one day in arrears. The data shown on the Online Crime Map includes offences occurring in the past five years. Selected offence groups and offences that are withdrawn are excluded.

The locations shown on the Online Crime Map may not be the actual location of the offence. Locations represent a general area where crimes have occurred, not the specific location. Figures shown on the Online Crime Map are subject to change and are not official statistics.
